Podcasting in Schools and Educational Organisations

What can happen when educators and learners are given a microphone, a meaningful question and the space to share their voices?

This practical Erasmus+ course introduces podcasting as a tool for learning, reflection, communication and institutional storytelling. Participants plan, record and edit their own short podcast while developing ideas they can use in their organisations.

Activity Type: Physical Mobility

Duration: 1-week Erasmus+ course

Target Group: Teachers, trainers, adult educators, academic staff, project coordinators, communication staff and other education professionals.

Audio Storytelling for Learning, Communication and Community

Podcasting gives educators and organisations an accessible way to share ideas, document experiences, develop communication skills and create meaningful learning projects.

This practical Erasmus+ course guides participants through the complete podcasting process, from concept and planning to recording, editing and responsible publication.

Participants will explore audio storytelling, interviewing, scripting, voice techniques, sound quality and simple editing. They will also examine how podcasts can support language learning, reflection, professional communication, project dissemination and learner-led content.

Through collaborative production tasks, participants will create a short podcast episode and design a podcasting activity for their own institution. Privacy, informed consent, copyright, accessibility and responsible sharing are included throughout the programme.

By the end of the week, participants will have practical audio-production skills, a completed short podcast and a realistic plan for using podcasting in their own educational context.
