Video-Making in the Classroom

What if educators and learners could turn their ideas, explanations and experiences into engaging visual stories?

This practical Erasmus+ course guides participants through the complete video-making process, from planning and filming to editing and classroom application. No advanced equipment or previous production experience is required.

Activity Type: Physical Mobility

Duration: 1-week Erasmus+ course

Target Group: Teachers, trainers, adult educators, academic staff, communication staff and other education professionals.

From Ideas to Meaningful Educational Videos

Video is a powerful tool for explanation, storytelling, reflection and creative learning. This practical Erasmus+ course helps educators plan, record and edit short videos using accessible equipment and clear production methods.

Participants will explore visual storytelling, framing, sound, lighting, scripting, interviewing and basic editing. They will consider how each production decision can make educational content clearer, more engaging and more appropriate for its intended audience.

The course examines how video can support flipped learning, demonstrations, learner projects, reflection, assessment, institutional communication and inclusive teaching. Participants will work individually and collaboratively as they move from an initial idea to a completed educational video.

Privacy, informed consent, copyright, accessibility and responsible publication are included throughout the programme.

By the end of the week, participants will have practical production skills, a completed short video and a video-based activity ready to adapt to their own educational context.
