Wellbeing in the Digital Age

Is technology helping us work better, or simply making it harder to switch off?

This practical Erasmus+ course explores how digital habits affect attention, energy, communication and professional wellbeing. Participants develop realistic strategies for using technology more intentionally while creating healthier boundaries and sustainable working routines.

Activity Type: Physical Mobility

Duration: 1-week Erasmus+ course

Target Group: Teachers, educators, trainers, school leaders, academic staff, administrative staff and other professionals working in education.

Healthy Digital Habits for Sustainable Professional Life

Digital technology offers valuable opportunities for teaching, communication, organisation and professional development. At the same time, constant notifications, screen use, information overload and expectations of permanent availability can affect concentration, energy, relationships and work-life boundaries.

Wellbeing in the Digital Age helps educators and institutional staff develop a healthier and more intentional relationship with technology.

The course does not present technology as the problem. Instead, it examines how digital tools can be used in ways that support rather than undermine human needs and professional wellbeing.

Through reflection, discussion, practical exercises and collaborative workshops, participants will explore digital habits, attention management, online communication, boundaries, rest, information overload and sustainable working practices.

Participants will also consider how organisational culture influences digital wellbeing and how educational institutions can create clearer, healthier expectations around communication and availability.

By the end of the course, participants will have practical tools and a realistic digital wellbeing plan for their own professional and institutional context.
